The Protector Niladanda presides over the south west corner. Niladanda has three faces showing blue, white and red colour. Niladanda has six arms. Niladanda holds a blue staff, a sword, a jewel and a lotus. His two principal hands hold Prajna in embrace. As stated earlier his name is also mentioned in several Stavas or hymns which are often recited by Nepalese Buddhists. The images of Niladanda are very rare in Nepal and are mainly found in China.
