Our 13 “ half gold plated copper Green Tara statue, female Buddha of compassionate activity, swift to help suffering beings. This beautiful half gold copper Green Tara statue holds the stem of a lotus flower in her left hand. Her face and hair are painted in the Tibetan style.

Green Tara:

Green Tara is a female Deity - a Protector from Fear. Her energy is active and youthful. Her right foot is always shown outstretched, ready at a moment's notice to leap forth and assist someone in need. She is shown here seated on a lotus with her right hand outstretched in the mudra of "Supreme Giving". Her left hand at her heart is in the mudra of bestowing refuge. Her mantra is: Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha.

The Goddess Tara is the female personification of compassion. Born of a tear from the eye of Avalokiteshwara, literally her name means ""saviouress"". She is seated gracefully on a lotus base in the Lalitasana posture. She is clad in a brocade Dhoti, naked from the waist up, save for the profusion of jewelry and crowned by a tiara. Her rounded face is surmounted by a mass of tubular hair. She holds a lotus in her left hand and displays the gesture of charity with the right. This painting depicts the twenty one Taras. In the center is the Green Tara, the Tara of night time.
